2007 Ford Ranger

I ordered a 2007 Ford Ranger May 2, 2006. On June 22, it arrived at the dealer. I was actually looking for a 2006 because of the rebates they were offering, but they didn't have one anywhere with the options I wanted. I almost gave up and just took one, but then found out I could get the rebates on a 2007 also - so there went the order for all the options I wanted.

I ordered a 2007 Ranger XLT with the following options:

SuperCab with 4 doors

4.0 V6 with manual 5 speed transmission

4x4 with 3.73 limited slip differentials

BFT Component Package (comes with heavier rear suspension and trailer towing package)

Leather bucket seats with center console

Power package (power locks, windows, mirrors, etc)

Sliding Rear Window

The 2007 came with the football size Ford emblem on the center of the tailgate. I don't know who at Ford had the bright idea to put that on there, but it looks terrible. I had to get it off. Below are the pictures of the stock tailgate, then with all the emblems removed and holes filled/painted, then with the new emblems put on. With the new emblems on, it looks cleaner to me.

After the tailgate, this is what I have done to it so far:

Tinted windows

Installed my Undercover bedcover

Line-X sprayed in the bed

Changed shift knobs

Installed a Tekonsha Voyager brake controller with 6-way plug under the bumper

K&N FIPK Intake Kit #63-1108

Magnaflow Dual Exhaust Kit #15773

SCT XCalibrator 2 Tuner

Foose Nitrous 15x8 Wheels w/ 265/75/15 Rubber

I don't know what else will be done, but it won't be anyting like the Explorer. This will be my daily driver, so I don't want to get too carried away. I'm going to remove the rear jump seats and build some type of utility flat top box in the rear for miscellanenous items, but other than that, I am not sure what else will be done...

Well... The Ranger was a great truck, but with a child on the way, there was no way to put a baby seat in the Ranger and be comfortable with it. So with that, the Ranger was traded in on a new 2007 Sport Trac Limited. I ordered the Ranger the way I wanted it and started building it, but I never thought about a child. Wish I would have, but I enjoyed the Ranger anyway. Wish I could have kept it also.
